Quick question - anyone know where there's some gravel road or similar in SW London or around? Want to test my road bike with new CX tyres...

With the combination of Council spending cuts and the bad winter most roads in SW london now seem to resemble a dirt track! Richmond park is recomended outer ring only the rest is for walkers only but is quite smooth, the towpath between Richmond and Walton gives a nice ride best to avoid weekends though too many people if you ride fast. Wimbledon common is on marked cycle paths only the Rangers can and do issue fines if you use footpaths.

+1 for the track around Richmond Park; that's where I use mine. Excellent in the snow, too!!!!
