Not so keen on having to wait for quite a while for a light from Hong Kong for a Magicshine.

I am looking for something that will help light my way on country roads commuting this winter.

Have about £50-60 to spend.

Any suggestions?

IMHO the Sigma will have insufficient light for your needs. The Smart Lanar 35 is a much brighter light for a similar price. I bought mine from parkers international.

B&M make excellent lights. Unlike most other light manufactures they understand beam patterns and produce something well designed for cycling. Buying from Germany via Bike24.com will be cheaper (and possibly quicker).

If you can stretch to £70 then there are plenty of lights available. Hope Vision 1, Dinotte 200L etc. Each with their own foibles but good enough for country lanes.

  • Magicshine only takes a few weeks, and well worth the wait. IMHO you don't get better light for your cash.

Try making do with a headtorch, and order one of the magicshine kits pronto.... dont forget to get the one with the UK plug!!
