Planet X, which bike ?

I've been reading the forums avidly over the past few weeks and flicking through mags trying to sort out a new bike. I originally had a budget of 750.00 which has now almost doubled ! don't laugh !
I've been very interested in the boardman but after visiting halfords and talking to the staff i really can't face the prospect of ordering from them. so i've been looking at focus, ribble and planet x.
The planet x bikes seems to be quite similar across the price range, mainly the following ;
Nanolight High Modulus SRAM Rival
SL Pro Carbon SRAM Red
SL Pro Carbon Road SRAM Red
i've read a few good reviews ref the nanolight and that probably looks favourite..
I'm returning to biking after 15 years or so and when i recover from a knee injury want to get into triathlons. so i need a bike thats going to be fairly quick. i'm 5'10 and approx 70 kg. 31" leg.
If anyone is familiar with any of the above bikes i'd appreciate any advice ref what i do and don't need or anything you think should be upgraded whilst i have the choice. ideally i could really do with staying under 1400 or thereabouts
thanks

I know 2011 is coming out across the board and shouldnt be suprised at price changes at the moment...
i noticed planet x have moved around on the SL Pro Carbon SRAM Red and it's back down to 1099 i think it is
but interestingly halfords have just slashed 200 quid off the team carbon which is now back at 999.99.... i find this ammusing because i was told by halfords over the weekend that they wouldnt be altering the price or putting any bikes in the sale :?"Never rub another man's rhubarb"0 -
from a px angle, I've had both the road and nano, loved the road but it was written off by a car. Then upgraded to the nano which I like even more. For longer rides it's very comfy (100m+), so I'm happy with mine. I moved my ultegra groupset over, and put some aero bars on which made a difference to comfort as well.
From a Halfords angle, don't let the shop put you off. Buy it from them and then use a local LBS for all work, no need to ever go to Halfords again, they'll just sell you the bike.
My advice is to go visit PX, try the medium and Large of both bikes, and then decide. They're very friendly up there, but call in advance to arrange a visit.0 -
gonna have another look at the nano in the morning
