Bike servicing

Can anyone recommend a good place to get my bike serviced in the Rotherham/Sheffield area.

    Pick up a copy of Bike Radar's Maintenance Mag, shop for tools on the net, google for tutorial videos and download the manuals from the manufacturers.

    Thus... do it all yourself :D

    Oh, and pay no attention to correct service intervals. Judge it for yourself. Some things they'd like you to get serviced far more frequently than necessary, but you do need to spot when things do need servicing.

    Clean components will keep servicing needs down (just avoid a jet wash, especially aimed at the headset and other bearings as that'll just blast mud into the bearings or worse wash away all the grease).
  • There's the Bike Tree, in Sheffield, which opened fairly recently. I've been in a few times and really like it. The staff are a nice.
