Think I have worked out a route that avoides all the closures - so that leaves me with the following for you "locals"

where should I perch myself for the best view ??

    Hard one this as most is on roads that haven't a lot of paths.

    Being 10 laps I'm going to stroll up to the start and watch them set off. I'll then make my way along the route to the Excel centre as there is a food fest going on. Get a bite to eat and stroll back along to the finish.
