Hi all,

Just thinking of starting to use this feature, but have a question..

I have a course that I might want to ride a with a different target av speed on different days.

Do I have to download the same course to the 705 with different averages built into the course file from something like bikeroutetoaster, or can I set up a course using mapsource or training centre to achieve the same results ?

Many thanks!

What's the difference between looking at the virtual partner and looking at your average speed?

    Just curious.......

when you're tired can you work out the difference in time between 2 average speeds ? I know I can't.
if your course was created by a site, and you don't have "slow down for hills" checked, it works off average speed, otherwise it's ammended. If its a previous route you've ridden, the speeds varies as your previous rides speed varies, so it's a movable target.

Thanks for that. If you've ridden a previous course several times does it use your most recent ride or your fastest ?

it's always the one you saved and converted to a course, so the original.

I can see the difference between my current average speed and my target current speed but I didn't know it was ammended for hills.
Or that it varied the speeds so that is useful.

    Thanks
