Yessssssss that time of year: rain, fog, wind, conkers and... big spiders again lol. Caught this impressive fella last night. Pretty big, considering the wine glass is a 1/3rd bottle and 3 inches wide at the bottom...

Sexy! We get loads and loads of them in our house. This would be Betty, from a few years back:
Must remember to post the picture of the one we had in our hotel room last month. Some people get free soap/biscuits etc, we got a free humungous spider - bargain!

Yes, fake widows are rife down south and spreading! Many of the Steodata species look widowish. You also get 'wall spiders' they are huge beasts. Here is a last pic of Boris MK2:

i had one like the one with a train ticket, but a little bigger, and put it in a 2l bottle with air holes, and put 2 moths, a small spider, a fly and a wasp in with it. spider killed them all. then i fed the spider to my cat0
