Annoying Online Gaming Adverts

Dear bikeradar team,
Now I know that from a Future Publishing point of view advertising revenue is what bikeradar is all about. Sure it allows a community to form and gives your journos a feel for what issues are important to your actual/potential paper magzine readers, again increasing revenue however.....
Those annoying on-line gaming adverts for World of Warcraft and such like. I'm not interested in them and I don't like that fact that the adverts are intrusive on my browsing by starting the music automatically without me clicking on the advert or even a mouse-over event. So whilst I accept that the adverts have to stay to help pay for bikeradar, can you please request that the company responsible for the advertising turn off the sound unless it is selected on?
Yes, I can turn down or mute the volume but then I will miss Skype events that I want to hear.
Cheers,
Schweiz

I was just going to post on the same subject. They are incredibly irritating. At the moment there are 2 (both for online fantasy RPGs): 'Shaiyla' and 'Lord of Ultima'. It's been going on for at least a month now. Those ads aren't always there, so I tend to forget about it after a while but it's happened 4 times to me already this morning, and for some reason the music always mutes whatever else I might be listening to at the time.0

As above - screengrab and send to me please.0

Here they are, right hand side, where it says 'Shaiyla' in the first image and a yellow 'Click to play' button in the second.0 -
Chaps - can i double-check what country you're viewing the site from please? ta0

Just to let you know our ads team are looking into this and will get it blocked ASAP.0

Hi again,
I've been told the offending adverts have now been blocked. Could you please clear your cache and all should be well.
Apologies for this, and thanks for letting us know.
Any more problems, please let us know.

Thanks! I haven't noticed any now while having a quick look around. Just those annoying CRC ads to get rid of now (the ones that can actually take my money )0

They're back! This time in the banners at the top. Like this:
You can't see it in the capture but it's for a game called "Shaiyla: Eternity", there was another which didn't even have a name. It just kept looping a video with the names of characters in the game.
Thanks.0 -
I noticed it too at weekend but in fairness, the music only started with a mouse-over event and stopped as soon as the pointer was moved off the advert. The top banner is usually off the screen for me. However, I would prefer nothing unless I actually click it.0

Yeah, just noticed now that you have to roll over the ad to get the music. Must have done it without noticing before.0
