After some thieving sods stole my GT Avalanche 1 2008 Disc - I decided to replace is sharpish. I decided on a Specialized Stumpjumper. Hope you like the look of it - the only thing that annoys me is the V-Brake mounts on the rear - and the old brakes - but they are easy enough to upgrade.

I was on a fairly tight budget - but I trust that paying £425 for this wasn't too bad - the frame is in perfect condition - it has Carbon Fibre handlebars too - as well as high spec Shimano Deore XT kit.
I'm after some bling for it too - so any suggestions welcome!

Nice bikes, but older than 2005, think that's a 2002, had a Duke fork as standard. Not that they really changed much until 2006, so it's fairly irrelevant!

    Needs some SPDs too.
  • I have SPD's waiting to go on :-D

I do hope its not a 2002 - as that means its ancient!

I'm almost certain it is, but as I said, the frame didn't change at all from when it first became M4 to when it went to M5 in 2006, so it's only the colour that changed.

It was a v-brake bike stock, so it looks like it's only the frame that's really left!
  • That's not so bad then - I just get the feeling I paid a little over the odds for it...

I wouldn't worry, if you're happy with it, it's a far better bike than you'd have got new for £425!

The wheels are a couple of years old, but decent enough, and the forks are quite recent and far better than what it came with.
