According to the Weather Channel, it looks like the weather's going to break at around 17:00, with the rain stopping and the wind dropping somewhat.
However, I can finish work at 15:30.
What do I do? :?:

did a roadie hack your account?0 -
Man up little girl.
Having said that, I do really need to get out on the bike soon, but keep putting it off as a result of not having anywhere near enough sleep...0 -
Just rode across town. Driving rain, wind and I managed to get lost in the rabbit warren of back streets. I should have just kept to the main road!0

how about getting a lift back? by getting a lift I mean nick a colleagues car keys, open their boot and leave it ajar, bind your hands and feet later with some rope, but not so well as you can't move around and hide in the boot. When they get home, ring the police and enjoy the look on their face when they see you get released from their car, they will think you are a proper scamp. For an added bonus, get baking powder into little bags and hide it in the car too. The police will give you a lift home after that ordeal, and you will stay dry0

TBH, I would really love to do this. I have a minion who can best be described as "Stressed Eric". She'd have a complete nervous breakdown. Pity she lives the opposite side of town for this to be of any benefit. Oh and I already have the ropes in my desk drawer...0 -
so do it, i bet by the time you get back it will be earlier than 5pm plus ride time, and thats weather permitting too0

Well, you'll all, well most of you, possibly some of you, well maybe one or two of you will be please to hear I survived this. I was going to wave at the webcam, but TBH with the bike cranked over at 45 degrees just to stay upright, there wasn't a hope in hell's chance of me taking a hand off the bars. Probably the worst conditions I've commuted in, but meh, it's all good training.
Also, it was absolutely hissing down at 17:00, so it wouldn't have made much difference if I'd waited. The weather finally broke at around 19:30 and it's nice and sunny today.0
