Scott spark sizes - are they really that important?

Hey guys,

I am a female rider 5'9", 33" inside leg and longish arms. I have the chance to buy a Scott Spark 10 Carbon in a Large. I have ridden the medium and found it OK but the seat was pritty much to the top.

Will the large be significantly different. I know you are going to say try before you buy but I can't fit a ride in before the offer is gone.

Your thoughts please x

If the length across the top was fine then I'd stick with the med. I'm 6 ft, and I rode a large which seemed about right. might mean nothing though.

Size of seat tube in my opinion is sort of irrelevant, you can always get longer seatpost.
The biggest problem is the top tube length. Feeling cramped or stretched out on longer rides ain't pleasant.

The difference between the M and L will be something like 20-30mm longer top tube, and probably longer stem.

according to Scotts geometry chart there is an inch difference in top tube length between M and L size frame.

hope this diagram helps (scoll down and click geometry) nice bike and good luck :)

That's quite surprising, they're not that small IMO. Have you actually ridden the large? If not that seems the obvious thing to do! Being a girl, with relatively long legs you may find it too much of a stretch though.
