I use a Light & Motion Stella 120, which is both bright and fits on drop bars with the separate battery under the stem.
I'm sure there are better, but your criteria are a little vague.0 -
I bought these last year: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=31337 (although I note they've been discontinued).
I've got an urban/city commute, though.FCN 2-4.

"Exactly."0 -
As I've got frog-leg levers, my cockpit's a bit cramped (ooh er matron...), so have fitted an Acor extension thingymabob. At the moment I'm just running a Blackburn Flea on the front, but once winter really comes, I'll have a Cutter LED lamp and a Lumicycle 12W halogen lamp sat on there, both running off a Lumicycle Nmih bottle cage battery.0

Why does it matter that its for Drop Bars?
Anyway
Using 3 year old AyUps myself, great wee lamps and the new ones are far brighter. The burn times are a winner for serious commuters0 -

+1 for the AyUps, great little lights that don't clog up the bars, super bright and long lasting batteries too.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0 -
Where do you buy Ay Up Chuck lights in the UK?0

Got a Cateye EL 530 on the front, though its slung under the bars rather than on top to stop it slowly slipping and pointing at the ground. Complemented by a cheapo 4 LED Cateye set to flash so that I've got one solid and 1 flashing light. With rechargeable batteries I normally get a week to 10 days out of the EL530 between recharges.FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0

P7 torch from Dealextreme... but then I ride an MTB, I need lots of light, and I did not want to spend more than £50. What LIghts is a hot topic in MTB... see e.g. this.
I also have a small Cateye and a Blackburn Mars3 'to be seen' - and nice shiny yellow ankle bands, a reflective bib, and some reflective tape on my backpack. I may get a backup rear light as (a) they get covered in mud, and (b) I had one taken out by a flying stone just recently.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

Get a decent hub dynamo setup, far less gaff once installed and excellent lighting
The shimano dyno hubs are good and I rate b and m lights0 -

Yeah but trimming a beard and de-fluffing elbow patches on a corduroy jacket takes feckin ages!0 -
I've used a Dinotte on my road and MTB for several years.
A real tiny lamp with 4 AA rechargable batteries that strap under your stem.
Throws out plenty enough light for unlit country lanes, and certainly gets you noticed in town.0 -
