Can't work it out. It's an oem frame and the decals have been removed according to the description.

Could this end up being a bargain frame and fork?

  • I saw that earlier, it looks a good deal,,but the sizing may well limit the number of bidders.

    Frame is my size.

I'm just not sure about this OEM stuff. Is it a Kuota bike or not? Is it legit or is it some kind of fake?

My guess is that it's one of the (many) Chinese frames and has been id'd by the seller as near as dammit a Kredo - but it's not the same quite, or at least not this (2004) one

    http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/photos/ch ... oframe.jpg

If you look around there are many Chinese/Taiwanese companies offering frames that WILL be the same as the big brands (or at least appeance-wise, whethere the precise construction, carbon/epoxy etc it the same I dunno)
I'm looking at potentially buying one of these Chinese frames myself, $500 to the door inc shipping.
So, buy knowing it is likely not a Kuota as such but maybe the same thing in reality. Good price at the moment for a complete bike.
  • don't know if it's worth risking it....when carbon goes it just explodes apparently? Bet it'll happen at the worst possible time, like doing a 45 descent around Buxton.
    Say... That's a nice bike..
Trax T700 with Lew Racing Pro VT-1 ;-)
  • Advice might be a little late, but I wouldn't have bought it... we had two cheapy carbon frames break in 60 & 61 days respectively. Not from the same seller, but I wouldn't trust anything sub-par now.

I'm outta the ebay scene, but the bidder list is very suspect. What's with all the *** in the usernames???

ebay doesn't reveal the names of the bidders, just the first and last letters, all the rest are ***'s that's normal.

    :)

Didn't buy it in the end. Looks nice but not sure about the whole OEM thing. Looking round for bargain frames though and found a ribble carbon frame and fork for £322 with the current extra 7% off.

Any reviews or thoughts on this frame?

BTW, i was confused as to what came with the bike, was it just a frameset and forks with some bits to keep it all together?

Was i right with thinking that it doesn't come with the drivechain components as stated at the bottom of the listing.

it was a generic taiwan frame plastered with kuota decals, looks nice but you have no clue to what your actually buying, same kind of money you can get a p/x with a warranty and technical info
