I'm doing a charity walk

Can't believe it. Over the years I've done all sorts of stuff for various charities and sponsored loads of people doing a whole range of events but I've got to admit I'm bobbing my pants as the big day gets closer (Sept 26th).

I'm doing a charity walk of 20feet, but it is over red hot burning coals barefooted.

I'm sure come the time that 20foot will look like 20miles.

Mind over matter Frank. Belief is what you need.

Mind you, its easy for me to say, I'm not daft enough to do that :D

Nice one and good luck mate.

Don't sweat it Frank - it's a doddle (not that I've had a chance to do it).

Saw a prog years ago where a boffin showed that the surface of the ashes insulates the feet even though the coals are 1100 deg. As long as you don't hang about you'll be fine.

FYI If I'm wrong I like my longpig well done. Ta.

Nice one Frank.....sure beats the 2 blokes in the local paper who had a full page spread about their charity walk from cheltenham to gloucester, a total of about 9 miles!
  • Mission accomplished. Absolutely fantastic feeling when it's done, if any of you get the chance to do one get on it. Apart from not burning my feet to a crisp the really good bit is I raised in the region of £750 for Macmillan cancer care.

Well done, I'll go into my local Macmillan and pop a couple of pounds in their collection box in your honour.

  • Oh! I'm not very good at this PC malarky I just copy/pasted from facebook. As I say the video itself isn't too great but I thought some of you may have been interested.
