Best Route to Twickenham from Old Street

My First Post here although I've lurked for a while. So first things first and hello everyone.

Tonight I need to get from Old Street to Twickenham, MapMyRide is trying to send me Clarkenwell > Holborn > Shaftsbury Ave > Piccadilly > A4 > A316. Looks fairly straight but also very busy main roads. I don't mind a busy road as I cycle most days from Worcester Park to Old Street, via CSH9 which takes me along A24 and A3, but most of this is wide cycle lanes and bus lanes and I have no idea what the A4 and A316 are like to cycle down. I'm leaving work at 5.30 and need to be there for 7pm. I normally do Worcester Park to Old Street (13.4 miles) in an hour and this is slightly shorter at 12 miles but I would expect unknown route / roads and traffic to slow me down a bit.

Short question, can anyone recommend a good route from Old Street to Twickenham?

Down onto the Embankment and follow all the way through Parliament Square etc to New Kings Road, Putney Bridge then Upper Richmond Road/Sheen Road to Richmond, then Twickenham

But I'd go down Lots Road on Cheyne walk just past Chelsea Embankment and left onto Kings Road

I used to do Queens ride over Marc Bolan death bridge then onto Lower Richmond road.

Thanks all for the advice. Went the route you all suggested. Thanks to the 2 guys in Richmond who guided me through to Richmond bridge.

Junction of Old Street, Clerkenwell Rd, Goswell Rd to Twickenham Station 1 hr 1min total time (not moving time). How did I do?
