Went out today to offer some encouragement to the riders attempting the Race Around Ireland.

The Solo riders started at 8pm on Sunday night in horrendous conditions, I believe it rained constantly all night. When they passed me they had been riding all night and they had done the best part of 200 miles (1100 to go). They should have seen beautiful views of the Donegal hills however they were enveloped in a thick blanket of grey cloud.

Chin up. The next 300 odd miles is into a 35mph head wind.
