Read a comment on here the other day. The chap posting was showing off his bike, like you do. One reply said "Nice bike but you need to line up your labels on the wheels" I thought "How sad is that".........For the past two days I've been looking at my mismatched labels on the tyres / wheels. I couldn't stand it any longer, had to take the tyres off and line them up. My wife (the misteress of tweaking) is proud of me. I think I need help.

Wouldn't it have been easier to move the labels??

If only life was that easy...the labels are moulded into the tyres

Correct I did. But the labels on the wheels are glued on and you just know they're never going to stick back on, without curling up like a motorway service station sandwich.
  • Changed my front brake pads on Saturday, while doing so I noticed that the front tyre had a few too many deep nicks in it. So I replaced it, then I took the new one off and refitted it when I realised that I hadnt lined the valve up with the tyre label. I felt like a right Monkey

I dont know what the right word is but when I first fitted Conti GP4000s the hardest bit was do I line up with the Continental label or the Grand Prix 4000s one. I went with the Grand Prix 4000s label, for anyone who needs to know the R in Prix is where the label lines up

I fitted new upgraded wheels on Friday. When I'd finished, I realised that the tyre labels were not properly aligned with the wheel stickers nor with the valve.

I said to myself: "well, bu88er that! Now let's just take this baby for a ride!"

I was over 1kph slower around my training circuit than on the old wheels.

    Now I know why! :D

  • I am sad too - I spent an hour moving the rear tyre round so that the side writing of the tyre was in the same positioon as the front.javascript:emoticon(':D')

  • Well done that man, you have truly seen the light.
I trust that you have also lined your QR levers up with the edge of the fork (front) and the chainstay (rear).

I always stop every 50 meters to make sure that the valves in each wheel are still in matching positions.
