Hi all,

My Father in Law is considering selling his Pearson racer/tourer and has asked me what I think its worth. To be honest I haven't a clue so I would be grateful if any of you could give me some advice.

I beleive it is early '90s. It has a 105 7-speed groupset. The rear shifter is a bit iffy.

Whilst it is perfectly usable, the drive train is quite worn so I think it might be more attractive to someone wanting the frame to do a fixie conversion, or maybe to bring it up to date with a modern groupset.

It's 22" (56cm) C-C on the top tube and 21" (53.5cm) C-C on the seat tube. Reynolds 531 'Super Tourist' in attractive pale blue! Pic here:

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Given the tubing and the brand -and it looks in very good condition for its age I would reckon circa £100 - £150 - though a little TLC could lift the figure a tad more.
Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom
  • Thanks NervexProf - kind of what I was thinking too if I had to make a guess.
  • You may fins taht this bike is worth more as parts, shame to break up a bike, but worth considering. The shifters are worth at least £40.00 on their own
