    In the Star the bike was a special LH driver version and it also said he went back to the LBS(?) later in the day and had brakes fitted or swapped his bike for one with brakes.
    Boys Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, opted for brightly coloured BMXs, while David bought a sleek, single-speed, black two-wheeler.


    The Retrospec Diablo was a snip for the LA Galaxy player at £230. But safety campaigners might be calling on the former England international to shell out more as he forgot to get any brakes.


    The football star obviously spotted the gaffe as a fully kitted-out version was later wheeled out.

    I did read somewhere that he was quite a keen cyclist in his youth, certainly enough to be a member of his local cycling club. Can anyone veryfy this?
