  • Great last lap.
Did Dr Who take EBH away in the Tardis? :?

EBH - puncture or something like that?

Fantastic last lap - glad to see Gesink get the victory.

Puncture? He just stopped pedalling for some reason. Odd.
  • Both Quebec and Montreal GPs have been a success - well worth their billing.

These 2 Canadian races have been a couple of the finest one dayers of the year.

    FARK!

Missed the last 2 laps as I was on my way home from work.
  • His 2nd win this year. The other was the Stage 6 of TdS which was also a HUGE win, again total effort.

Maybe saving himself for the Worlds? - no point going deep 2 days out of three, especially if it won't yield a win.

Given I missed both races, that's a massive kick in the balls. :(

Apparently his pedals broke. (Not from a reliable source though).

Anyway, well done Canada. Two good races which were worthwhile inclusions in the ProTour calender.

On the list of Canadian things, they rank above Nickelback and Jim Carrey, but below Maple Syrup and Donald Sutherland.

Just watched the link in that video to the Eurosport verision - unbelievable c**k-up of the E'sport commentators, thinking there was till one lap to go, and Gesink was having a nice little solo before the real finale - incredible

It was a great race to be on the side of the road for, too. We were shuttling up and down the mountain on our MTBs through the shortcut trails and had quite a workout ourselves. When Gesink went, he went ridiculously hard.

Yeah! Road cycling breaking through in Canada! Finally!
