Or is he dropping out before the end for the world champs?

Could this be his first GT points jersey (hopefully of many)?

I think he's definitely planning to finish.

He certainly won't voluntarily quit the race while in a leader's jersey (has anyone ever done that in a GT?).

He's occasionally been racing for intermediate sprints, which must be an indication.

And I reckon it annoys him that he doesn't have a GT points jersey, while Greipel does.

    Rasmussen from the tour

    ...I'll get me coat
    "Impressive break"

    "Thanks...

    ...I can taste blood"
  • He should win the points now unless he pulls out. He has 21 points on Farrar. Nibali and Rodriguez should get points today but there is only one mountain stage after today compared to 3 sprint stages. Could even see him trying to give Goss a win if he is safe in the points jersey.

Have wondered whether he really doesnt fancy his chances at the worlds so wants to take the points jersey while he can rather than pull out of the vuelta early and then not do well in the worlds anyway.
  • I hope he stays til the end and wins the Points Jersey and I feel this would be just what he needs to go on and win the Green Jersey and the Tour next year.
