and they are off - a stage which bobbles along with a mega sting in the tail - J Rod could be fancying a back to back - Nibs looked a bit despondent about the way JR kicked and left him yesterday - if it is as good a finish as stage 14 wont that be good

ps links to live web TV welcomed

several minor escape attempts - HIS NIBS looks sparky today

Comments

  • Matt Goss takes No1 sprint - well he wont have a lead out job to do later, so why not?
  • 6 riders clear by 4 minutes - 82 km gone
  • Hopefully, the TDP "live race" tv link will become available, here, in 15 minutes or so.

As they appear to be flying along, I don't expect a great deal from Sunday Eurosport.

Edit: Make that 15-45CET. Another schedule change since yesterday????

    Tdp now on..............with swimming. :?

^ Blaze's feed showing the Vuelta now, interviewing Anton as he comes out of hospital. I think he gave a longwinded Spanish way of saying "sh*t happens".

whats that on the table - 'A GOLDEN HELMET' !!!!!
lets get on with the cycling before Rooney's 'Golden helmet' and Beckham's 'Golden Balls' get discussed - or perhaps they already are being discussed in Spanish?
  • I have a nasty feeling that the Helis can't fly, hence not live pics, yet. They have only about 35ks to go.
    Ah, we're off!

  • 20 km and an 8 minute gap - that can evaporate on the climb?

Judging by the way the breakaway hit the bottom... yes, quite easily.
  • Velits trying to make some headway 13 km left 7:40 the gap Barredo goes with him - and kicks again - its raining hard, and getting steep now

Luis Leon having another bad day. 2 GTs too much for him.
  • 8 km and Carlos B has a lead of 5 minutes over the pack - surely!!!
  • Real shame about Anton yesterday. Not a way to lose a GT.

    Nasty weather out there.

Ah, Tommy D still hanging in with Nibs. Who know Velits could climb like this?
  • Nice work by Mosquera.

Velits is certainly surprising me. I know he has some form in this type of course yet I would never have thought he would be continually at he business end. Maybe because he is allowed to work totally for himself.
