Folks,
I am suffering from a bad case of MTB mania!,

" I think"?????.

Is it normal to talk to you bike?,
Give her a name?,
Spend more time cleaning her than riding her?,
Dream about her and the things you have done together and are planning to do together?,
Plan on spending all spare cash on wonderful sparklng shiny things on her?,

Do I need help???, or is this normal behavior for a Mountain Biker?.

Sorry got to go my babe is on her own in a dark and lonely garage.

I shout at it, and kick it a lot.

  • Mine gets angry and punishes me, but I like it that way.

If Splotboy says you're normal, I'd start panicking.

No, there is something deeply, deeply wrong with you!

I mean, leaving that poor, defenceless bike out in a cold dark garage to fend for itself. What kind of a cruel, cold hearted excuse for a human being are you?

    :) :P

A bike is like a girl friend - looks goods for a couple of years and then you want a newer model

No its perfectly normal. Its when the bike starts answering back that it gets a bit weird.

  • All fine, just remember that any bike is always a her/she as they are all incredibly temperamental, and just as you think you've got them figured out, they leave you in the sh#t...

  • I never talk to mine as others may be listening. Telepathy is the way forward. You can develop this technique by ensuring that your cycling wardrobe matches the colour scheme of your bike.
