this is my collection of swiss army knives, other people have knives but these are mine
the top one is the office manager which i fould in the street about 10 years ago. the middle one is the hiker which i use for hiking "duh"
the interesting thing is the bottom one which is a swiss champ i have had for 17 years
and the other week it was repaired under warranty free of charge!!! how cool is that?
i use mine every day for one task or another and i think everyone should have a swiss army knife
i dont know how i would manage without mine.

be careful if you break the blade though.....victorinox refuse to believe their blades will break under normal stresses and therefore won't repair under warranty!!!0

That's not a knife....Say... That's a nice bike..

Don't take them on airlines or public transport, or be caught with them in a random stop and search...0

When I was younger I carried a rather vicious looking knife; it was for show but I was dragged up on it by some guys I was playing pool with at the time. They snapped it in half and told me not to be such a dick. I'm still a dick but I don't carry knives :P
Incidently are Swiss Army's actually illegal?http://www.youtube.com/user/Eurobunneh - My Youtube channel.0 -
A folding pocket knife under 3" in length is considered legal.

a couple of years ago I was allowed to fly with mine. It didn't know I had it with me but it was in the bottom of a document wallet and the comment from the guy at security was 'Well it's not all that big'. He put it back in my bag and I boarded the flight.
A few weeks later my dad had a Karabiner confiscated as 'it could be used as a knuckle duster'
I prefer my leatherman.0 -
The only knife i take outside the house is the hiker and that is for its intended purpose.
i might get the victornox fisherman in the future to take fishing with me.
i make no apologies for being a freek.0 -
While the Swiss Army Knife has been popular for many years, I have a Swiss Navy Knife which has remained largely unheard of. Its single blade functions as a tiny canoe paddle."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0

That will be handy for when you are up sh*t creek and without a paddle!0

But this all leads to the question....
Victorinox - The Original Swiss Army Knife
or
Wenger - The Genuine Swiss Army Knife
So they can be seen to be perfectly fair, the Swiss army use Victorinox for half their knives and Wenger for the other half.0 -
Gerber>leatherman>penknife
Gerber multitool is my favourite pie e of non biking kit, so many uses0 -
You got to be carefull though as most of those gerber/leatherman have locking blades which are illegal.0

I know, it's on the Wenger website under history, but in my former life as a Blacks saturday boy, there would be big discussions amongst bearded customers about which was best!0 -
i have never owned a wenger so i cant really comment.0

are they?
I have a locking victorinox with and a leatherman which has two locking blades and a nasty looking saw. AFAIK they are available in the UK for sale through reputable shops, so how are they illegal?0 -

Wish I had one (not a Wenger), lost count of the times my horse has pulled up lame and I didnt have the correct tool for removing stones from hooves.0

Why on earth would you need knives? Quick, someone call the police!Say... That's a nice bike..

If that's the case (I'm not disputing what you said at all) how are they able to sell them legally in the UK?
iI have a Leatherman Wave which I adore as the gadgetmad 40 something that I am. Is it illegal for me to carry it in its pouch on my belt? The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle. ...Stapp’s Ironical Paradox Law
