So as of today i should hopefully be getting my replacement frame.

Previous bike was a Commencal Super 4.3. However after a frame crack i've decided to swap for one of ....

It will be running an e-13 STS Single ring system with a new bashguard in black, a set of raceface green bars and a pair of green grips.

A nice shiny new pair of Rockshox Recon 351 air 140mm's will be getting thrown on and probably a charge spoon along with a 180mm rear disc to replace the 160.

Really looking forward to getting this all done and dusted and being able to give it a test this weekend with a little 109km pootle around Brecon for the Brecon beast :)

Will be looking to upgrade and change the brakes from a pair of Juicy 3's but unsure as to what to go for. Ideally something in white but there were some stunning Hope green brakes on Ebay... but i rekon out of my budget.

Also have new 34T ring, chain, BB and cassette should i find any issues running the old stuff on the new frame.

Get the Hope's if you can... Those Green ones are team only, and very, very rare.... you cant buy them unless your team.
    I like bikes and stuff

I let them go mate, the rotors went for £56 in the end... If i had sold a few bits i had on Ebay i'd have bought them... but never...

The MEta is here and the building and modding will commence soon. Got the green raceface bars on their way and the green grips have arrived.

Well, minor update, bars and grips fitted. The green grips looked awful, so they're now a toy for my 2 year old.

    Bars look good though.

Also fited water bottle for Afan Monster so i can carry a little more easy access fluids.

Fitted my chainstay protector in GREEN too.. but the camera phone is playing silly buggers with USB cable.
  • Try the avid elixirs they were £135 from merlin in white. However if you're on good terms with your lbs you might be able to swing a great deal on some elixir cr carbons (in white) if you ask them nicely.

    Phew.... that was good :)

Did some suspension testing and settingup...enjoyed the hills too :) Spent 5 hill clims/decents setting up the front end, then a couple more on the rebound on the back end. Good rocky uphill and downhill and long enough to work hard.

The new bars i REALLY like, bloody wide at 735mm (is that too wide? ) and quite low compared to the carbons i had on previously.

Really getting more used to the bike now and enjoying the feel on the front end LOTS and lots.
