will this crank set work?

Hi, I have the new Schwinn Varsity aluminum road bike and I am planing on purchasing the FSA SL-K SLK PRO MEGAEXO 172.5mm Carbon Crankset. I have never shopped for a new crank set so I am not sure if this will fit into the mounting area of where the crank set goes. Will this crank fit on this bike or are the mounts the same on most road bikes. The bottom bracket is 68mm, is this the right size for my bike? if i need to take my crank off to measure tell me what to measure, Thanks.

    From what I can gather from the limited information on the specs of the Schwinn bike, it probably will. The BB should fit, (but appears to be prone to wear), but the chainline might be affected. The FSA chainset has afairly typical 43.5mm chainline. In practical terms, it should work OK.
