I'm planning to do The Oxford-Cambridge charity ride on my single speed bike. Just wondering if anyone interested in that sort of thing at all? As of the moment i do 15-18miles per hour on flat roads on my Single Speed.

Bacteria are practically all invisible to the naked eye, with a few extremely rare exceptions, such as Thiomargarita namibiensis.[30] They lack membrane-bound organelles, and can function and reproduce as individual cells, but often aggregate in multicellular colonies.[31] Their genome is usually a single loop of DNA, although they can also harbor small pieces of DNA called plasmids.0

I may be able to drum up a few people for that, sounds fun. I did it a few years ago with gears so could be a new challenge. When is it?Sunday September Ultegra SL

any reply from anyone genuinely interested in doing the race on a single speed. i have got a bianchi c2c and trek 1.5 but my plan is to do it single speed. whats the point of doing a race if its not worth the suffering and elation of the achievement!!0

Does not sound like a race to me, far too slow for that.0

I've done Oxford to Cambridge a couple of times and have seen a few people on single speeds. There are very few hills and those are only short so as long as you have the fitness to do the 90 miles in the first place I don't think you'd have too many problems on a SS."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0
