Witberg Track Pumps

This may be a help to others with old Witberg track pumps. The hose on mine has finally given out (it is 25 years old!)

The SKS Renkompressor looks identical. Having emailed SKS to see if one of their replacement hoses would fit, they said it wont.

I ordered a new EVA hose from dotbike anyway, and it fits and works perfectly.

So dont through your old Witberg away just yet.

    Who's got the oldest Witberg then? Mine's about 25 years old as well.

    My witberg track pump is around mid 80's, maybe late 80's at latest, so now 30 to 36 years old. Just ordered a new washer from SJS cycles "SKS Rod Washer 3234", looks the same & dims given seem to be what's needed. First time it's failed in all that time.

    It seems the non return valve is not functioning properly - can't seem to source spares for that. Pity as it seems a shame to bin it after at least 30 years use. I did get it to compress again with washer from SJSCycles a few months ago, but the tyre pressure pushes the handle back up. Stripped & cleaned it, but didn't fix.
    Ho hum, time for a new pump I guess - one last try to fix the Witberg first!
