Hi guys,

I am currently building up my first road bike (so far have the frame, fork, groupset and wheels) and I am wondering which (in your opinion) is the best finishing kit to go for?

Looking for something fairly decent, but not £200+ bars etc.

Thanks

  • Big question. Hard to say without knowing the frame, fork, groupset & wheels you've bought...
  • Yeah, I guess....

    - Ribble Evo Pro Frame & Matching Fork
    - SRAM Red
    - Ksyrium Elites
  • Deda do some excellent bars, stems etc at varying price points

I am personally a fan of the Ritchey WCS pro logic II 'wet black' bars & stems, they are a nice balance of stiffness, light weight and good looks. Quite expensive via online retailers, but available on flea bay for half the RRP

You won't go far wrong with the likes of FSA, Deda, 3T, Ritchey - having matching components with your bike frame always looks better. Choice may depend on your bar shape preference too.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
