Hello there, returning to MTB'ing so selling my Spesh Tarmac to buy a hardtail, although I am considering a Spesh FSR XC off Ebay. Whittled new bikes down to just two - Focus Black Forest Pro down to £899 or even the expert for £699 (Wiggle) or save some cash and buy Cube Race Rx down to £829 (winstanleys)
Any thoughts on spec, brand etc?
Its so long since I was in the MTB game, its changed a lot!

Really love the look of the Focus!
Orange Crush 2010. Better than the 2011. And 2009.

cubes generally come really well specced for the money, I'd try and ride em both though

  • Pay the extra £99 and invest in this badman:

A bicycle can't stand alone; it is two tired.
  • Why a hardtail? There's some great deals around on full-suss. I saw Paul's Cycles are selling 2008 MONGOOSE CANAAN COMP's for £685. You'll need to change the tyres, but what a price!
