Last day of the week for me which not only means 5 days off to follow, but also I can come home and have a nap when i finish at 12, without worrying that I wont get to sleep tonight.
Today I shall be visiting both Rugeley and Liverpool
Then back home for that nap and watch the rest of my Thick of it box set, might pop into HMV too and treat myself to Pete versus Life
Anyway I hope all of you have a grand day

Knackered and for the fist time in ages slept in so need to get my skates on.
Just ordered a set of white FSA Gravity bars for the Mongoose as A) the Deity bars are too fecking wide..... 760mm... and I keep getting pissed off with looking at the paint chip on them as well (yes i know I have OCD) - fecking allen key... grrrrr**
** if anyone wants to buy a brand new / never out of the house / 31.8mm x mid rise set of Deity D30 bars PM me, theres a 'matchstick' sized chip in the white powedercoat on top where I dropped my 2mm allen key on them, apart from that they have been taken out of the packaging, pitted and are about to be taken off - £25 post (I paid £53 last week) PM ME
Pics of above bars are in my Mongoose linky below.
Have a happy Thursday everyone0 -

It's been a long week.
Lazy weekend this weekend, as much as I've enjoyed my return to MTB I've been out pretty much every weekend since April and I'm thinking a rest weekend will be a good chance to service my old steed... They don't hold up like they used to.. That said I used to weigh 10 stone and a fart... I now weigh 16 stone, I'm probably a bit harder on bike parts.0 -
Woke at 2am for no reason. Body clock needs winding up.
Feels more like 4pm than turned 8am.
Bike calling me from the workshop!

Bleh!
Not feeling too good today and I probably should have taken the day off, but needed to bring my Son-In-Law + cat into Cardiff so the cat could have the pin removed from her leg (car hit her a few weeks ago).
Woke up at 2:30 this morning, completely covered in sweat and shaking - first night time hypo in a long, long time. Ate half a packet of Hobnobs (obviously for medical reasons...) and a couple of bags of crisps, but couldn't really get to sleep afterwards. I expect to do lots and lots of slacking today and might just slope off early.
I'm contemplating 3rd breakfast and can't decide between a full fry up or a humungous bacon baguette.0 -
school first but the stuff i ordered shoukd arrive today so i'll be able to service my forks0

Last day at work today.. then a whole weekend of riding in the Quantocks/Exmoor starting tomorrow, probably as much drinking as riding.. gonna be superb.0

In the words of Stuart_C, is it five yet?0 -
Good morning. Just at uni waiting for my dyslexia tutor to turn up and tell me no doubt how bad my work is.0

New stem has arrived, full of Thomson goodness. First thing I'll do with it is stick it on my mates Foes FXR and try the bike out with my own bars. Tried it last night with his bizarre H-bar setup and switched brakes (I ride European style for shame) and nearly killed myself. Didn't help that it was the first time I'd ridden on flats since my return to mountain biking. Easier my ass. Big respect to the flats rider, I just don't have the technique down I guess. I'll stick some SPDs on it before I go out again.0

Morning all,
If 1 more bloody car creeps past me in traffic and immediately pulls left on me they’re going to lose a fecking wing mirror!
Used my new phone to track my ride home last night, it gifted me with a top speed of 50mph. Happy days! A blatant glitch I know, but still looks pretty cool.
Fry up for dinner last night = win. Question, what do people put in the frying pan when making fired bread? (Other than bread, before some smart ass pipes up) I’ve always used a bit of oil, but the wife did it last night and used butter, she says it’s always the way she does it.
Been awake since half 5 after offspring Mk2 decided he was bored of sleeping. Tried laying with him to get him to go back off but he just fidgeted until half when we eventually got up. Coffee has been consumed, biscuits are looking worried. I swear my appetite has doubled over the last few weeks, I can’t stop eating. Must make sure I get the miles in or I’m gong to pork out again.
Is it 5 yet?"I ride to eat"0 -

I feel famous. 8)
Does this mean I'm now allowed to take drugs, speed in my car and cheat on my wife and get away with it, just "cos I'm famous"?"I ride to eat"0 -

Butter's better than oil, unless of course, it's the oil/fat that's been used to cook the bacon/sausages in...0 -
Mmm bacon grease fried bread. But yeah, otherwise it's butter.0

It did taste quite nice with the butter.
Technically it's not a fry up, as we grill the sausages and bacon. So I normally have to put oil in the frying pan to fry the bread. I could pour the fat from the grill tray into the frying pan and then use that, or would that be pushing it?"I ride to eat"0 -
Well the day is proceeding nicely,
