Just thought I'd mention that I saw Costco (Avonmouth) selling GT Avalanche 2's today for £299.99 + vat (£335). Seemed like a good price, didn't see it up close because I was in a rush but I did notice it had rim brakes so may be under specced....worth checking out if you're in the market though.
