Tondo closing in on Mosquera and Anton
Why does Mosquera never win a stage?0 -
Great ride by Anton, Mosquera and Tondo who came out of nowhere. Rodriguez not so good..0
-
Surprised about J-Rod. Sprinting for bonus seconds takes its toll, eh.0

Anyone tell me where Schleck finished...i was trying to watch on a terrible feed at work."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Missed the last 5km. Sounds great.Contador is the Greatest0

In the end, Caisse and Cervelo, who looked out of it, came out pretty good.
Only big losers are Katusha and Rabo.
Nibali has cracks appearing in his armour. Frank S starting to find some form."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

I think this is a common misconception. He won his first MTF in the Vuelta 2006 when dopers Valverde and Vinokourov were shadow boxing for the GC.
He performed admirably in the Vuelta in 2008 before he crashed out on the Angliru stage.
And he did well in the Ardennes just last April.
In terms of being at the front of a GC then yeah eh's never been this good but like I said he did well in 20080 -

I dunno. He's had one day in Red as opposed to the zero he would have had otherwise.___________________

Fair enough - hence the question mark!
Usually though I'd never bet against J-Rod on a super steep finish. In this Vuelta though, Anton's the man.0 -
Big fan of Anton.
Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, Stage 3, summit finish, snow banks, beats Contador. Class.
4th in Fleche, 6th in Liege. Class.

Same here, I think his spring performances were a real indicator of this Vuelta showing... still he is philosophical about his overall chances: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/08092010/58/vuelta-espana-anton-wins-stage-lead-vuelta.html0 -

+1. He won it with his head almost as much as his legs. Very mature riding.
Like Sonny73 said, anyone who paid attention to the Spanish stage races in the spring could have seen this coming. Rick must have been watching something else in April... can't possibly imagine what!
I must say though, Nibali is still a big danger. 46 km TT coming up...0
