Anyone know who I can try for custom paint/graphics on a steel frame. I know of Atlantic Bouvelard but is there anyone else? Thanks .....

    Perhaps Argos Cycles in Bristol?
Haven't used them but have considered getting one of my frames resprayed in a different colour by them.

Yip there are framebuilders and finishers that'll repaint bikes but they might not do custom graphics or artwork. Probably just lug lining, banding, decals etc.

Automotive paint specialists will sometimes do bikes (although when I was a sprayer I found bikes to be much harder than cars so some places won't touch them). The modified car scene (not just boy racers, but classic cars, hot-rods and low-riders etc) have a lot of custom painters and airbrush artists that'll happily do any design you like, but they are obviously pretty expensive!

What sort of thing are you after? I might be able to point you in the right direction.

Well it's a two tone paint job with custom manufacturers decals as I say.

There's not much point with just giving to a sprayer cos it's possibly too intricate, so I need the right place. Argos cycles doesn't look too bad.

Don't know about "over there" but "over here" there are a whole bunch of custom motorcycle builders and painters, what with the renewed popularity of choppers.
A friend of mine had his bike frame done at one of them. Might be worth your while to look into that possibility.

I'm sure than most sprayers such as Bob Jacksons can do a two tone paint job.

FWIW Argos and Atlantic Boulevard prices are pretty similar IME - I chose AB because Argos were just plan indifferent and weren't prepared to give me a fixed price until I sent them the frame. Neil's done two frames for me - both excellent and the quality of finish is way better than any factory job.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

This is what I'm after, a good quality of finish. Don't want to give it to someone who won't make a good job. What a gamble really when you think about it. thanks.
