Jammed D lock

I have been using a Magnum D lock for a couple of years, this lock:

and the other day I noticed it was getting a bit difficult to turn the key. I applied the GT85 and tried the key. It turned but not easily, and trying again it jammed completely so that I could not turn the key or remove it. I am really thankful this did not happen to me with the bike locked up at work.
I have now bought an Abus Granit X-plus. Anyone have similar experiences with Magnum or other D locks?

I've noticed with my Kryptonite that if you don't insert the key 'fully' in before turning it does get stuck. For ages I thought I had a faulty lock but as long as the key is pushed all the way in (which isn't always obvious) it's fine.....Car? Scooby....
Motorbike? Ninja....
Bike? Sirrus or the XTC0
