So what did people think of the event, the good, the bad and the ugly.

My first attempt and was well impressed! I've previously struggled to piece together offroad routes for longer than 200m stretches at a time - the 100 miles was incredible. Particularly enjoyed the trail centre singletrack, the adrenaline cancelled out the pain The fire-road wasn't as tedious as expected, mainly because it was so fast rolling!
The only down points would be the unfinished trail leading up to the piper, and also towards the end of the course, but hey it is mountainbiking!
Fantastic views across the scenery, lots of fellow contestants 'in it together', great organisation, and most of all one of the biggest challenges I've ever done. Definitely considering next year, just don't forget your midge repellant!0 -

Well organised event, route markings very clear. Course was far harder than I expected, a truly severe test of fitness and mental strength. Felt like dropping out on lots of occasions but managed to hold it together and struggle to the finish.0
