GOOD MORNING

WAKEY WAKEY RISE AND SHINE, one up all up and so on
Off to work for me and I feel like crap warmed up and served with a lovely garnish of radishes. The little twinge I felt in my leg at the gym is now manifesting itself as a complete inability to bend my right leg without quite a lot of pain, and my key tasks this morning involve a lot of walking down sidings, not a good combo

On the plus point, managed to book segway rally day for me and my bro, I bought it for his birthday last November, and I've finally been able to get a date for it this November, but means I have to go to Daventry to do it

Anyway, enough moaning already, hopefully I'll be in a bette mood when I wake up a bit

well top of the morning to ya!
had a real fun ride last night thrashing my way through to woods, slipping and sliding around in the mud, you forget how much fun it is during the summer.
Having the magicshine light attached to my noggin made a huge difference too. so may get anotherone to put on the bars?
loads of sucicidal bunnys last night kept jumping out in front of me, and zooming off at light speed, then on the way back to the car saw a barn owl again 8)

when i got home, i was chatting with the wife about xmas pressies etc for the kids (and her) and she wants me to get a wish list together :P , i think i can manage this?

Minion has brought first coffee and i'll be off to get bacon soon

tomorrow i will be on a course so no BR

    Morning peeps

Plasterers have finally finished the walls and ceilings upstairs so I'm going to fill my day sealing, filling and with anything else that doesn't actually involve hard work

Then as my bike is waaaaayyy to far away for me to ride it I think I'll spend the evening trawling the internet trying to buy a new one
  • Greetings mortals (and El Capitano)

Last night my young (neither adult nor kitten/somewhere in between/perhaps "teenage") cat Milo went walkabouts at about 6PM and only returned at 8AM this morning. Little bugger wolfed down a bowl of Felix Kitten food like he'd never, ever been fed before. He's currently playing in the Wiggle wheel box that contains my new hoops.

Today more handover meetings as I come to the second last week of my contract period with my [former] employer. Only a week and a half left now! Not riding after work sadly as I also have a meeting in Stafford this afternoon.
  • Well, I'm now in the office, I have coffee and a roll containing a rather large amount of bacon. Looks like I'm getting lunch on the company as well, so all's currently well in my little universe... :D

i just had my hire car delivered for my trip to nottingham tommorrow.
1 its a punto so i'll probably be breaking down en route
2 its a poxy small petrol engine.
    3 no cruise control
4 no Aux in for my iphone, no bluetooth or naffing
    5 tiny boot

so do i take my Jag and relax all the way up there but pay the fuel myself or do i hammer this little rat car there and back?

Is there any decent riding in nottingham that it would be woth taking my bike for?

Hammer the rat car, it's what they live for. It would be upset if it didn't get a dman good thrashing.

    Morning all,

Greeted by fog on the road this morning, nice eery ride in. If it's foggy at the weekend will try and get over to Black Park for a ride, it's where they filmed a lot of Harry Potter so reckon it would look quite cool covered in fog.

Got my new phone yesterday. :D Was playing with the GPS last night, zoomed right in on my house and it could tell which room I was in. Was a bit freaky.

Supervisor is not in for a week now so I have to babysit the new girl, she's a feisty 1.

My brother didn't get me a present for my birthday last week, he said that next time I need something for my bike he'll get it. Would a carbon FS frame be pushing it? :P Dunno whether to ask him to get some overshoes, or some mud gaurds for the commuter. Neither are particularly exciting, but both are probably needed with the impending winter on it's way.

    Is it 5 yet?

Morning. Going into Birmingham soon, as I need to buy some shoes. I may be meeting a friend later, but other than that, another stressful day of doing nothing.
  • Booked Ferry tickets for my day in the UK riding Lee Quarry next weekend with Richie63. :D:D:D:D

Anyone else who fancies coming is of course, more than welcome. 18th Sep at about 11:30ish

    There will be cake!

    Good morning everyone.

I was in a foul mood yesterday. I won't go into detail but all of the day's trivia consipired against me and if it could go wrong, it did.

I put everything aside when I got home and got my bike out. As soon as the tyres started cruching on the trail I felt better. The afternoon's rain had made the trail moist but not wet and without putting much effort in, I was riding well.

A walker called his dog to one side as I passed and I thanked him.

Then, just as my cloud of depression and angst had almost gone, a vision came running along the trail towards me. She looked like Lara Croft and her pony tail and boobs were softly bouncing as jogged along. She was lightly tanned with muscular legs and there was a faint sheen of perspiration on her cleavage.

She smiled and said 'hello' as we passed. All the stress of the day completely disappeared.

There's more to mountain biking than just riding along :)
  • Good afternoon. Today I will be borrowing a Foes FXR from a friend of mine and tearing about a trail centre with chair lift near here. I'm am sooo excited. Today is a good day.

The guy is trying to sell it to me but I'm not sure I need something as incredibly over-engineered as a giant titanium spring.
