Well, his acceptance speech must be one of the shortest ever...
" Fanks very mutch for dur tro-feee.."
Even Jools Holland was bit stunned/underwheelmed by it!

I don't "GET" Paul and I've tried, oh how I've tried.
It's sortta rock-punk-rockabilly ( Apologies to his fans if I'm wrong, which I probably am ! )
Oh well...

As far as XX go, wasn't there a "THE THE" band in the early 80's?
XX make a nice sound, lead singer sounds a "bit" like Smokey Robinson, sortta.
Nice.

I preferred Weller when he was an angry young bloke in the '70s before he turned into a c0ck

i'll infect you with my love in a minute.
  • you haven't got a good infection in you
  • I just can't see a 'need' for his music, he sings like he's trying to preech to 10,000 teeenagers in the 70's! Been there, done that I'm afraid.
  • well he was awarded the gong for Wake Up The Nation, which i have to say rocks in places, short punchy tracks always work, it's a good solid 'relevant' effort - and that's from someone who thought he died after Setting Sons
