Been looking for good bike for commuting to work and going on longer runs at weekends. Test road this at my local shop last weekend, they wanted £499.99

Is it any good for a begginers bike?

    Not bad for the £309, and they actually look pretty good in real life, haven;t looked at one up close though.

    I would be tempted to look secondhand at that money thoug, something like a Trek 1000 or a Giant OCR.
    And now you know, and knowing is half the battle
