You'll never guess what he's done...
Accidentally pressed delete on "my documents". It popped up with "this file is too big to send to the recycle bin - delete permanently" and of course he immediately pressed "yes" without thinking
So is there a good programme I can use to get back all of his photos etc etc?
TY in advance!

Do a system restore point.0

or if photos have gone, make your dad pay for you to go on all the holidays involved again so you can retake the photos0

I can't find the last one I used to recover my USB drives, but I have found some free ones in my time. I usually Google data recovery free and hunt for an app which has a trial period.0 -
Tech fail
Does that not find whatever was there?
Please explain why that does not work then.0 -

Apologies, that was quite harsh of me , system restore points only roll back your computers applications and settings, personal files are not affected at all.0 -
Northernmonkey this will do it. I've used it and its very good.

I don't think it supports Win7 yet though (only states Vista, but file system is very similar so best to check). I used it on XP.0 -
Let me know how you get on with EASEUS Monkey, I have tested it with a .zip file I deleted from my netbook this afternoon and it worked a treat.0
