Does it get any better?

Talking like a pirate, riding fixed wheel up a cobble street in Frome and then seeing The Wurzels at Gordano Rugby Club afterwards (Just outside Portishead!)

Just dusting off the tweeds for the cobble wobble, entered in both races.

You're doing nuffing to elp the reputation of yokels
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

Still - I'd love to have a hammer at that hillclimb but I've checked the trains and there's no way I can get there from Newport sensibly unliess I overnight it.
FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
    Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

I think I'll be on holiday in Devon at the time, but I might talk like a pirate for the day just to show solidarity. Now there'd be an interesting double bill: The Wurzels + Portishead. Mashup anyone?

Not sure if Beth Gibbons singing I've Got A Brand New Combine Harvester or Wurzel-ed up Portishead tune would be better.

Assuming I have space in the car - if you get to Brizzle (either station), I can take you!

Depends on Wife, juniors 1,2 and 3 and Wilma the dog!
  • Wurzels are dissapointingly crap these days. The Mangled Wursels (tribute band) are better.
I think the cobble wobble is fully booked for over 18s, single speed & fixies. My practice times so far have not been too embarrasing & the cobble wobble ale is a nice drink.
