Come to think of it, Lardboy is in the same situation but he has a medical reason, allegedly

I have to be home from 1pm-5pm to wait for a delivery, so took the whole day off.

here is where I cycled today

    :D
The sun was out as the rain passed over during the night - it had stopped by 6am.

    I sometimes like Derbyshire.

Ladybower reservoir was very low, you could see the remains of buildings.

I'm looking forward to my ride home. I don't get the "land lubbers" part, or references to sea legs though.

hey...you must have cycled right past the Woodbine - love that place :)

reservoir is low if the buildings are visible, might pop up that way at the weekend as I'm visiting family up there

I will be most displeased with you if you cycled down Winnats.

Got caught out in a shower on the way home. Waited for half an hour at a convenient cricket pavillion for it to go over - partly as I've got a cold and partly because every time I cycle in heavy rain, I have to strip and regrease the rear hub. Just as quick to wait and not regrease than to carry on......

No I just couldn't be bothered to switch the route in google maps. I also wanted to see how long it would take to cycle from my daughter's school to our house.
