New to this scene

Hi all

Thought i'd post a topic as im new to mountain biking. I live in the Wardley area of Manchester and was wondering if anyone knows of any routes that aint too far to get to as i dont drive.

Im riding a Genesis Core 10 which was reccomended to me by a shop.

    I have found the Roman Lakes in Marple a good place to start.

    Try the Mellor Magic and Mellor Mania map bundles from www.bikemaps.co.uk (under the Peak District tab)- they're only a couple of quid and really useful.

    If you fancy hooking up for a ride then just send me a PM, I'm fairly new to it too but can show you a few routes round Marple and near Hayfield.
