Finally finished my Yeti and having used it a few times now I have to say I love it !!

Yeti ASR 5C
Fox Talas forks 110 for climbing 150 for fun
Easton Havens
Race Face next bars
Point one stem
Formula R1 180mm rotors
XT chainset 22-36t Double with bash
X0 shifters and rear mech

I reckon it weighs in at about 25 lbs and climbs and accelerates like nothing else I have ever ridden.

    Thanks !!
I honestly couldn't put an exact cost on it but , I went way over what I wanted to spend but got to the stage of what the hell I'm only going to do this once !!
Best guess somewhere around four and a bit grand. Ouch.

i couldn't agree more on that
  • Very, very nice 8) I'd love to do a custom build Yeti some day! Ah well there's always the lottery
  • Wow, looks great, fantastic bike, but why didn't you go for the 575, the way you've built this one up seems like it would compliment it's bigger brother for more of an all mountain bike (which still climbs like a mountain goat but goes downhill like a bat out of hell), and you would only gain about 1.5lb's.

But certainly a bling bike and you can't go wrong with a Yeti.

    Thanks for all the comments!!

The 575 is a great bike and I tried both the 575 and the asr 5 back to back at a demo day and it was very close but the asr just seemed to be that little quicker in both handling and acceleration and did not give up too much on the downs.

i'm sure I would have been delighted with a 575 as well but I'm not changing now !!
  • That is a superb looking bike there. Love the graphics on the wheels, not seen those before.

Beautiful bike.. if I ask you nicely, can I 'look after' it?:lol:

Loving the little touches, the white bashguard looks compliments the bike, and the wheels are stunning..

Very nice - like those Yetis.

I thought the ASR-5 was designed for a 120mm fork. How do you find it on the the 150mm setting?

The plant pot does need chucked I agree :D

I think the rear triangle comes in black only but to be honest never asked if I could get one in white.

The 150mm setting is great for the downhill stuff I run the forks with plenty of sag anyway and it feels great.
I think Yeti say you can run from 120-140mm on the frame with no problems
  • Sweet looking bike. Very nice!! 8) I've always like Yetis. There frames are build very well. What is the frame size and what rear shock are you using?
