Hi all,

Looking to get a new phone and the 1 I want seems to be best on these 2 providers. Deal wise they're basically the same, so its just down to which network is best really.

Who's got views or horror stories on these networks?

Cheers

Oh yeah, is it 5 yet?

I found both to be a sack of cack, esp Vodafone, i always had signal, but no service.

I found Orange the best up until this year, thats why I'm with 02 now

  • I'm currently with O2, but I don't really like the phones they have in my price range.

I've known a few people that have had nothing but grief with Orange, so didn't really look at them.

Used to have Vodafone - great coverage.
Now on T Mobile - not such good coverage, but company phone so free. Excellent.

  • Don't go with Vodafone. They are grade A crooks.

    You have been warned...

The only reason I'm on T-mobile is that I get it half price. Rubbish network.

Orange and T-mobile networks to merge.

Steer very clear of Virgin Mobile. Good coverage and prices IME but crap handset warranty, 12 months for an 18 month contract, the rest is covered by the manufacturer but my contract is with the airtime provider not the handset manufacturer.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    this.

get a house phone. I've been with t mobile for 3+ years now, so far so good. replaced several accessories for free. repaired phone for free (got a free courtesy phone whilst waiting (cpw wanted £50  ))

  • T-Mobile are fine if you're outside.

I have the sheer front to sit 3 feet indoors at work... No 3G signal and the 2G signal washes out constantly.

If I want a browse while I poo, I've no chance.

I got O2 to price match my HTC HD2 with the offer Virgin Media had - free phone rather than paying £89.99 for it and £5 off my monthly bill.
  • El Capitano, they did a really good deal for me last time, but this time round didn't seem interested in doing anything. Shame.

I've been with all the mobile networks and they all have problems with full coverage. The best for customer service are T-Mobile and O2, the worst is 3 don't even go near a contract with them. Virgin runs on T-mobile but doesn't have the same level of customer service. Vodaphone weren't too bad but they started changing their terms during contract much like O2 are doing now with their data bandwidths. Orange had a deadspot where my house is so allowed me to return the phone and end the contract but was still able to get Orange Wednesday for a full year :D
