The annual Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice sponsored cycle ride will take place on October 3, 2010 with the choice of 3 start points and 6 routes across 12 or 24 miles.

The 3 start and finish points are the Morrisons store in Erith, Cutty Sark Gardens in Greenwich and Woolwich Arsenal.

The 2009 event attracted over 800 riders but this year the Hospice, a registered charity, is hoping for at least 1000 riders to take part. The ride is ideal for families as most of the route takes you along the Thames Path in a traffic-free environment.

Free bike safety checks will be available at the Erith, Greenwich and Woolwich start points and a mobile workshop will be on hand to help out cyclists with mechanical problems.

All children taking part must wear a cycle helmet.

The event starts at 10am.

Registration costs £10, 16 & over or £5 for 5 to15-year-olds.

For details of the event and to register, go to
www.cottagehospice.org.uk/cycle, email info@gbch.org.uk or call 020 8319 9230.

Alternatively, pick up a registration form from one of the Hospice charity shops, the details of which can be found on the Hospice website
http://www.cottagehospice.org.uk/income_shops.htm .

Cycle t-shirts can be purchased at registration.

All money raised from this event will go to help Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice continue to provide their specialist care to Greenwich and Bexley residents who are suffering with a life-limiting illness.
