I've been riding for 40 years now & have seen many things, of which the greatest difference is peoples abilities at mid distances, i.e 100 to 150 miles.
I've read on here from no problem to you're be okay.
I think from my own past experiences at 14-17 years of age when I was really starting to get into long distances. 200-300 miles a day 12-16 hours.
And from those I was cycling with & have continued to do so with cyclist new to mid distances is we are all different, except for when it comes to the "Bonk".
This is a killer even for the most hardened veteran. There is nothing that can substitute for actually doing these types of distances beforehand. Take it from an old pro you will not be happy to be near the end of an event & fail.
Build up like you seem to be 70 then 80 etc.
Best to fail on a private ride, please though take someone with you & of course a mobile.
Which I didn't have of course back then to phone for a lift if needed.
Eat porridge with honey about 2 hours before you go out & then similar product bars at hourly intervals once you've started riding as this releases slowly. Mars bars are okay but usually are only useful for short energy bursts. & sip water every 10 minutes not glug every 30.0
