    When i was a little kid i had a raleigh striker in silver that i crashed and bent the front mudguard, we went through a lot though and i still have fond memories of that bike.

    As i started senior school at 11 yrs old it was time to ditch the bmx so i got my first bike with gears it was a raleigh equipe road bike with 12 gears, i'd never actually used gears up to that point and they scared the life out of me so for about the first 4 months i dint change gear at all, it stayed on the small ring and small sprocket until one day i thought im gonna try this and see what happens. I managed to get it to change 2 gears and i took off like a scalded cat down the road it was a complete revelation for me at the time!!!

    After a few years of basically running that into the ground i finally got my first mtb, a raleigh montage and i'll never forget the look on my mums face the day we picked it up from the shop then a couple hrs later i came home and it was covered in mud LOL i thought she was goin to have heart attack!!

    Had a Raleigh Grifter and then a Raleigh Burner then a Mongoose Californian with aero zytec wheels (mags).

    Then a Raleigh pursuit.

    I vaguely remember having a grifter which was replaced with burner. After that I had a muddy fox MTB with a full wheel disc on the back (with a huge paw print iirc). Haven't seen those wheels for a long time!. This would've been around 89/90, and sadly it was stolen from the school bike shed. It was replaced with a marin (grey with bright yellow forks).
