Trying to buy a bike for husband and have seen the Raleigh Trail XC21 for sale at £176.23

Any thoughts on this bike?

He is an absolute novice and will only really be using it locally and out with the kids

Try to avoid suspension and disc brakes at this price, they will be very basic and weigh a ton. What's your max. budget? Look at the Carrera Vulcan and any of the Decathlon range.

This. Raleigh Freeride AT05 is a decent alternative.
