Had a great tear round Lochard today leaving from and returning to Aberfoyle. Great bit of track and some of the descents were thrilling. The great weather made a fantastic day out, spent about 4 hours including a stop by Loch Ard for some refeulling. Hardly passed a sole on the whole trip.

Rounded off with a few scoops in Aberfoyle.

  • Literally just got back from there myself. I did the loch Katrine route and also the 3 loch route which is about 7.5 miles. Fantastic place for riding!
  • Loch Ard forest is superb, plenty of options, lots of seldom explored singletrack, miles of quiet track. It is wonderful!!

  • Guys, what kind of trails/single track are we talking here. Is it all fireroads or is it proper singletrack, fun descents etc?
    Thanks

Both. Plenty of fire roads, but there is a fair amount of proper singletrack too, just search for it and you will find it. Plenty of fun, rocky descents. It covers a huge area.
